Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has achieved a remarkable feat in the world of agriculture by breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest farm.
This prestigious recognition was bestowed upon an extension of the Renewable Aquaculture Research Unit, situated in the Wadi Bin Hashbal area within the Asir region.
The momentous occasion was celebrated with an official ceremony organized by the Saudi Reef Program at its headquarters in Riyadh.
During this event, the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fazli, received the registration certificate, marking a historic milestone for the nation.
Spanning an expansive 3.2 million square meters, this colossal farm is divided into two sections, each featuring concrete tanks with a substantial capacity of 500 cubic meters.
The facility also boasts five air-conditioned greenhouses and various other supporting structures.
The farm's impressive produce includes a wide variety of fruits such as lemons, oranges, tangerines, pomegranates, grapes, figs, almonds, and olives.
Additionally, the site serves as a hub for experimental farms, showcasing a diverse range of agricultural species.
