Still no relief in food prices even after petroleum rate slashes
Consumers said that when petrol gets expensive, the prices are daily food products also get sky rocking high overnight.
Lahore: Despite the reduction in the prices of petroleum products, the prices of food and beverages in Lahore could not be reduced.
According to market sources, sugar, pulses, ghee, flour, meat, fruits and vegetables have not become cheaper in Lahore.
It has been reported that with the decline in dollar and petrol rates, prices of day-to-day commodities should also drop by 15 to 20 percent immediately.
In this regard, common consumers said that when petrol gets expensive, the prices are daily food products also get sky rocking high overnight.
Lahore Chamber Vice President Adnan Butt said that the district government is failing to control the prices of food products.
He also stated that the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Raza Naqvi will be informed about this by tomorrow.
