ANF unveils online drug smuggling
Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested 11 accused and recovered at least 33 drug parcels that were ready to be delivered.
Karachi: Drug trafficking through online shopping platforms has been revealed.
According to details, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested 11 accused and recovered at least 33 drug parcels that were ready to be delivered.
According to the spokesman of the ANF, more suspects have been identified in the investigation. The people associated with the group belong to the four provinces of Pakistan.
The spokesperson added that ANF seized 53.7 kg of hashish from 33 parcels, while 1.6 kg of ice and 1.2 kg of opium were also recovered in the operation.
The involvement of the employees of major e-commerce platforms in this heinous act is also not out of the question, he stated.
ANF authorities further revealed that the arrested accused had registered their companies on online shopping platforms and were supplying drugs to consumers.
