Nawaz Sharif's lawyer Qazi Misbah and NAB prosecutors are present in the court room.


Islamabad: The Accountability Court Islamabad Thursday suspended the arrest warrant of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Toshakhana case till October 24.
According to details, Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir heard Nawaz Sharif's warrant suspension petition in the Toshakhana case, in which Nawaz Sharif's lawyer Qazi Misbah and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutors appeared in the court.
During the hearing, lawyer Qazi Misbah said that an application was filed yesterday for the suspension of Nawaz Sharif's warrant, he wants to appear in court and is coming to Pakistan on October 21, therefore suspend his arrest warrant.
On this, Judge Muhammad Bashir said that the Toshakhana case against Nawaz Sharif is a matter of NAB Court 3. On this the lawyer said that a hearing is scheduled in your court on October 24, Nawaz Sharif wants to appear.
On the stand of Nawaz Sharif's lawyer, Judge Muhammad Bashir of the Accountability Court called for the records of the former prime minister's case.
The judge inquired whether a protective bail was filed in the High Court in this case. Responding to which, the lawyer said that the protective bail was not filed in the High Court in Tosha Khana case, warrants have been issued in the Toshakhana case, and however the decision is pending. The warrants of Ishaq Dar were suspended in the similar case.
Lawyer said: “The latest medical report of Nawaz Sharif has also been attached, he will appear in the accountability court. The accused appears in the court when the arrest warrant is suspended, while there is no arrest warrant for Nawaz Sharif from NAB. Therefore, suspend the warrant so that there is a way to come to court”.
During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor stated that Nawaz Sharif has asked for two reliefs. He wants to surrender before the court. If Nawaz Sharif wants to come, then the warrant should be suspended till October 24.
After hearing the arguments of the lawyer and the NAB prosecutor, the court reserved its decision on Nawaz Sharif's warrant suspension appeal.
Later, the court suspended Nawaz Sharif's arrest warrant saying that if Nawaz Sharif does not appear on October 24, the warrant will be restored.
