Lahore: 28 people involved in electricity theft have been arrested in Lahore city of Punjab province in the last 24 hours.
According to Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) spokesperson, 267 connections were found involved in electricity theft in LESCO region. First Information Reports (FIRs) have been lodged against 204 suspects.
Spokesperson LESCO said that among the legal connections seized were two industrial, two agricultural, 15 commercial and 248 domestic. All connections have been disconnected.
The spokesperson told that 4,68,872 units were charged under the detection bill while the value of the charged units is over 24.7 million rupees.
