Air pollution level to remain low in Pakistan this year
Due to the economic and energy crisis, nitrogen dioxide in the country's atmosphere has reached its lowest level.
Lahore: The nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in the air reached the lowest level due to which the air pollution level is expected to remain low this year in Pakistan.

Petrol and diesel sales in Karachi fell by 24 percent year-on-year between January and August, while nitrogen dioxide emissions in Karachi's air fell by 20 percent.
On the other hand, 20% reduction in nitrogen dioxide was recorded in the atmosphere of Lahore, 14% in Islamabad and five percent in Peshawar.
Compared to previous years, the air pollution level in Pakistan is expected to remain low, while the winter smog will also be relatively less severe.
Apart from this, fall in the level of nitrogen dioxide was also observed during the lockdown in COVID-19 epidemic.
