Lahore: Airport Security Forces (ASF) successfully thwarted the drug smuggling attempt and arrested a female traveler at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport on Saturday.
The female passenger was traveling from Lahore to Doha, Qatar, when the ASF officials, during normal checking, found a significant number of drugs in her hands, according to the ASF Spokesperson.
A total of fifty-nine capsules containing a combination of heroin and crystal methamphetamine—also known as "ice"—were taken by the security personnel.
The female passenger was deposed off the aircraft by the ASF, who then reported her to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for additional examination and possible legal action.
