Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Sunday extended last date for submission of sales tax and Federal Excise Duty (FED) returns for the period of April, 2021.

According to a circular issued here, the submission for return of sales tax for the month of April which has now been extended up to April 18. It was earlier set as 15th of May.
Similarly, the date of submission of sales tax & federal excise return has been extended up to 21st of this month.
In a statement, the FBR said it will also accept payment of duty and taxes online to facilitate taxpayers amid the ongoing coronavirus situation in the country.
The decision was taken in the wake of government’s decision to stay away from crowded places and keep social distancing from others, the statement added.
