The funeral prayers were offered in their hometown of Tulamba, where Maulana Tariq Jameel expressed his gratitude to all those who had gathered to offer their condolences and support.
“I am grateful to my workers brothers and friends. You share my grief,” he said adding that death should always be remembered.
Later, Maulana Tariq Jameel led the funeral prayers for his son, and the burial took place in the premises of a local mosque.
It is worth noting that Asim Jamil, the son of Maulana Tariq Jameel, had been battling depression and tragically took his own life by shooting himself with a gun on October 29. This heartbreaking incident has left the family and community in deep sorrow.
