Moscow: In the wake of Israel's third consecutive strike on a Syrian airport, Russia has offered Syria the use of Latakia airport and port.
The Latakia airport boasts enhanced security, primarily due to the presence of Russian missiles.
The presence of Russian military forces in Latakia has made it likely that the Israeli military will not dare to target Latakia airport as Israeli bombers may face highly effective counter-attacks.
