In Shah Mahmood's petition, it has been argued that a baseless and political case has been made against the petitioner.

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi Monday approached the Supreme Court for bail in the cypher case.
According to the details, the former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has filed a post-arrest bail appeal in the Supreme Court in which the federal government and the interior ministry have been made parties.
In Shah Mahmood's petition, it has been argued that a baseless and political case has been made against the petitioner.
It has been requested in the petition that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) did not properly evaluate the facts, therefore the decision of the High Court of November 08 should be annulled.
It is pertinent to note that former foreign minister has been imprisoned in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi in cypher case.
