Lahore: The price of broiler chicken meat has become cheaper in various cities of Punjab including Lahore.
According to the details, the price of alive chicken in Lahore has decreased by Rs3 per kg and its wholesale rate settled at Rs328 per kg while the retail price of broiler alive is Rs341.
After a decrease of Rs5 in chicken meat, the price became Rs494 per kg while the price of eggs remained unchanged.
It is pertinent to note that Afghanistan has imposed a complete ban on the import of broiler meat from Pakistan, which has raised concerns in the Pakistani poultry industry as Afghanistan was a major importer of poultry products from Pakistan.
