Murtaza Solangi says the bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and Poland reached 899 million dollars last year and emphasized the need for concerted efforts to further enhance this economic partnership.
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs, Murtaza Solangi has underlined the need for expanding relations between Pakistan and Poland in trade, economic, and investment sectors.
He was speaking as a Chief Guest at the ceremony held in Islamabad on the occasion of Poland's Independence and Armed Forces Day.
He noted that the bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and Poland reached 899 million dollars last year and emphasized the need for concerted efforts to further enhance this economic partnership.
The Information Minister stated that recent agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) between the two nations exemplify the commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation. He mentioned the recent agreement to waive visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders and emphasized the importance of enhancing people-to-people and cultural ties for furthering cooperation.
Acknowledging the active role of the Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) in Pakistan, Murtaza Solangi expressed the desire for the company to expand its operations in Pakistan. He highlighted the investment opportunities available in various sectors, including mining, information technology, energy, agriculture, and defense production, and encouraged Polish investors to explore these prospects.
The Information Minister also conveyed warm congratulations to the government and people of Poland on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan on Poland's National Day. He underscored the importance of the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Poland, emphasizing the strength and depth of the ties.
Highlighting the positive and collaborative aspects of the relationship, the Minister praised the consistent cooperation between the two nations on various levels, fostering a spirit of encouragement. He recognized the pivotal role of the Embassy of Poland in Islamabad in strengthening and solidifying the relations between Pakistan and Poland.
