It has been stated in the written verdict that Chairman PTI should be presented in the court again on November 27.
Islamabad: The Accountability Court Islamabad Friday issued a written order to extend the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the 190 million pound scam.
According to the details, Judge Muhammad Bashir of the Accountability Court issued a five-page order which stated that Deputy Prosecutor General of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi applied for physical remand for another 10 days.
The order added that NAB said that Ali Zafar Advocate has provided the relevant record to NAB.
According to the order, the NAB officials have said that the National Treasury has to conduct an investigation regarding the money transferred, and further remand is required to complete the investigation and bring the case to a final conclusion.
The defense lawyers opposed further remand and presented two letters. One of the letter dated November 06, 2019 is related to Mashriq Bank, the lawyers said that Chairman PTI has nothing to do with the transfer of money, stated court order.
According to the order of the accountability court, the lawyers said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan has nothing to do with the transfer of 240 kanals of land. He has built two cancer hospitals and the third one is being built in Karachi.
The order said that the NAB officials stated that the remand was necessary to examine the records provided by Ali Zafar. The court grants physical remand for four days instead of 10.
