Highlighting the benefits of project, Team Leader Zhu Mangrui said economic zones will be established in Pakistan under the ML-1 project and significant reduction will also be witnessed in the transportation cost.


Islamabad: China has vowed to work diligently with Pakistan to complete the ML-1 project.
The assurance was given by ML-1 project Team Leader Zhu Mangrui and Director of the Planning Division of the Science and Technology Department Wang Chen during his visit at Railways Headquarters in Lahore on Saturday.
Highlighting the benefits of project, Team Leader Zhu Mangrui said economic zones will be established in Pakistan under the ML-1 project and significant reduction will also be witnessed in the transportation cost.
He said financing scheme, design proposal and all other issues related to the project will be resolved after discussion with Pakistani authorities.
In his remarks, Railways Chief Executive Officer Amir Baloch has termed ML-1 project as a game changer and said it would bring revolution in country's transportation sector.
