Murtaza Solangi emphasizes that conducting elections that are free, fair, and transparent aligns with the primary responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan, as mandated by Article 218 (3) of the Constitution.


Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has expressed the government's unwavering commitment to providing all necessary assistance to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in ensuring free, transparent, and impartial elections across the country.
Talking to the media in Islamabad on Tuesday, he emphasized that conducting elections that are free, fair, and transparent aligns with the primary responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan, as mandated by Article 218 (3) of the Constitution.
He said everyone in Pakistan has the right to freedom of expression, complaint and criticism.
He said the freedom, enjoyed by the Pakistan People's Party and other political parties, is also available to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, with a right to lodge a complaint.
Regarding Prime Minister's visit to the United Arab Emirates, Murtaza Solangi said the premier apprised the people about his UAE visit through a video message.
The Minister said he has a relationship of respect with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former President Asif Ali Zardari and that is why he cannot comment on their statements.
