Naeem's wife Shazia asked Shabnam for hot water and during this resentment she sprinkled petrol on the maid and set her on fire.


Lahore: In a tragic incident, a woman allegedly set housemaid Shabnam on fire in the limits of police station North Cantonment of Lahore.
According to the details, police registered the case on the plaintiff of accused’s closed-friend Rida against the owner of the house, Naeem alias Nomi who has also been arrested.
The 40-year-old maid named Shabnam has been working in the house for past 11 years. Naeem's wife Shazia asked Shabnam for hot water and during this resentment she sprinkled petrol on the maid and set her on fire. The victim has been shifted to Mayo Hospital in Lahore.
The family of the maid registered a case against the owner of the house Shazia and her husband in the North Cantt police station, after which the police arrested the owner of the house.
According to the police, raids are being conducted to arrest the accused Shazia. Section 324 has been imposed in the case.
The police stated that more facts will be revealed during the investigation. The accused Naeem works as an accountant in Garrison Private School.
