PTI writes to CJP regarding cases, arrests
The letter further stated that false FIRs are being registered against the workers and leaders of PTI.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Thursday written a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa regarding cases and political activities.
It has been said in the letter that Tehreek-e-Insaf is not allowed to carry out independent political activities. Therefore, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should be ordered to play a role in campaigning on an equal footing with PTI.
The letter further stated that false First Information Reports (FIRs) are being registered against the workers and leaders of PTI. The journalists are being targeted and obstacles are being put in the election campaign, leaders are being arrested despite the orders of the judiciary.
The letter also added that political affiliation of PTI leaders is being changed, the press conference to leave PTI is being forced.
