The wife of the former federal minister says she will run the election campaign for her husband in the constituency concerned.


Rawalpindi: Hiba Fawad, the wife of Pakistani politician Fawad Chaudhry, declared on Wednesday that her husband intended to contest the upcoming election despite being incarcerated.

She expressed these words while talking to the reporters outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
The wife of Fawad Chaudhary stressed that no other candidate would run on Fawad Chaudhry's ticket, expressing dissatisfaction with the conduct of Faisal Chaudhry and suggesting the possibility of legal action.

Hiba mentioned that the proceedings related to the contempt of the election commission case against the former PTI chairman and Fawad Chaudhry had been postponed until December 19.
Expressing a concern about the distance she has to cover within the jail to reach her husband, she called on the IG jail to address the issue.
