Lahore: Punjab government Tuesday decided to export high protein fodder to United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to the details, a special meeting was held under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi.
Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hassan Murad, Chairman Planning and Development, Secretary Agriculture and other officials participated in the meeting.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the export of high protein fodder was discussed during his visit to the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting approved the measures to increase cultivation of high protein 'alfalfa' fodder for livestock development.
In the briefing, it was informed that the establishment of disease-free compartment in Punjab is showing encouraging results. It is necessary to use modern technology and expertise at the local level for livestock development.
