Islamabad:  The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is actively considering the demands presented by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief  Maulana Fazl ur Rehman in the wake of recent engagements between the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and the People’s Party, sources privy to the development said on Tuesday.

The ongoing discussions between the two former coalition partners reportedly sparked concerns within the PML-N, prompting a careful evaluation of Fazl ur Rehman's demands by the party's leadership.

A prevailing sentiment among the majority of PML-N members advocated for an electoral alliance with the JUI, favoring it over potential partnerships with other political entities.

In response to the unfolding developments, the sources said that Nawaz Sharif called upon the party's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leadership to submit suggestions on the matter within the next two days.

Anticipating further dialogue, the sources said that a representative from the PML-N is expected to initiate contact with Maulana Fazl ur Rehman in the coming days to engage in comprehensive discussions on crucial political issues.

The PML-N, PPP, and JUI were previously allies and integral components of the PDM coalition government.

The collaboration took shape after removal of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from power through a successful no-confidence motion orchestrated by the parliamentary opposition in April of the preceding year.
