Sindh extends Covid-19 restrictions for two weeks
Karachi: Sindh government has extended coronavirus related restrictions for another two weeks.
According to details, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting of Anti-coronavirus Task Force in which it was decided to extend closure of schools and other educational institutions till June 6.
It has also been decided to limit market hours to 6pm while keeping all recreational spots including sea view and parks closed for another 14 days.
Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,007 cases of coronavirus were reported while 88 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 20,177.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 897,468.
As many as 813,855 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,412 critical cases.
In Sindh, the number of infections has surged to 306,707 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,891.
