Ottawa: Due to the uncertain security situation in Pakistan, the Canadian government has announced new set of instructions for its citizens who are preparing to travel to the South Asia. Ottawa’s advisory was issued to make sure the security of Canadian citizens in Pakistan.
Canadian High Commission in Pakistan informed its citizens to exert major caution because of the unpredictable condition of security. They advised them to not travel to the areas within 50km of Afghanistan border and 10km of the borders of China, India and Iran.
The high commission further said to avoid unnecessary travel to Karachi because of the high alert of terrorism and brutality. The Canadian government has endorsed precautionary measures for its citizens to avoid large gatherings and stay in touch with the local media and authorities.
However, it is to be noted that the new travel instructions come as the country observes a sharp increase in terrorism especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
