Lahore: In a disturbing incident, a school teacher in Lahore became the target of an acid attack on Monday.
The latest reports suggested that two unidentified individuals on a motorbike threw acid at a woman who was identified as Ayesha. She was the teacher of a local school in Shahdara. She quickly fled the scene.
Ayesha, the victim, was promptly taken to the hospital with severe burns on her face.
In a related incident from January 2023, a seven-year-old boy sustained burns in an acid attack carried out by his classmate at a government school in Sukkur.
The victim, Matiullah, suffered burn injuries when his second-grade classmate, Hasnain, threw acid on him during school hours. Matiullah sustained burns on his face, legs, and other parts of his body. The boy's father has called for legal action against the school administration, accusing them of showing indifference to the incident.
