According to the PHC, the party has the right to contest elections using election symbol, the constitutional right of the election symbol cannot be denied.


Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) Saturday issued a written decision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) intra -party elections and election symbol 'bat' case.
According to the brief decision of PHC written by Justice Arshad Ali, it has been stated that the PTI certificate should be issued on the website.
The Peshawar High Court wrote in the decision that PTI is also entitled to the election symbol, the detailed decision will be issued with more reasons and explanations later.
The decision stated that the court restricted itself to two questions, making a political party is the basic right of every citizen of Pakistan and the political parties should be provided a conducive environment.
According to the PHC, the party has the right to contest elections using election symbol, the constitutional right of the election symbol cannot be denied. The decision of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is illegal.
It is pertinent to note that earlier on January 10, the Peshawar High Court rejected the Election Commission's decision.
