Nasirabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he is conteseting elections to save them all as he [Nawaz Sharif] is contesting election to save himself from jail.

Bilawal framed the political contest as a battle between Arrow and Lions, the electroal symbol of the PPP and the PML-N, respectivley, saying that “Bat has been ousted from the contest,”.

He expressed these words while addressing workers’ convention in Nasirabad on Sunday.

The PPP chairman asked whether they [voters] would vote for a candidate who, despite holding the position of Prime Minister three times, did not delivere promises.

He criticized the rival parties' leaders for their apprehension that the common people might take a stand against them.

Bilawal said that, if elected, he would personally confront these leaders, drawing a metaphor between arrows and lions, suggesting a collective effort against the powerful.

Former Foreign Minister also weighed in, highlighting his presence in Balochistan as a symbol of discontent with the ruling authorities in Islamabad. He expressed disapproval of attempts to appoint an individual as Prime Minister for the fourth time, asserting that the people of Balochistan do not recognize such a decision.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari underscored the historical oppression of Balochistan during previous terms of the incumbent, emphasizing the need for change. He questioned the acceptability of a leader who he said failed in previous attempts and declared their intention to reclaim rights through the electoral process on February 8.

Addressing national challenges, Bilawal mentioned terrorism, international conspiracies, and strained relations with neighboring countries affecting Balochistan, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He criticized the current government's performance and urged support for those with a long-standing commitment to public service.

The PPP chairman expressed a desire for leaders who dedicated decades to serving the people and addressing the persistent issues of inflation, poverty, and unemployment.

Bilawal called for support in the upcoming elections scheduled for February 8.
