CPPA appeals NEPRA to increase power tariff by Rs5.62 per unit

Karachi: The government is all set to drop another electric bomb on the people who are already crushing in the highly inflated economy.
According to the details, rhe Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has submitted an application to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to increase the price of electricity by Rs5.62 per unit.
This request has been made by CPPA to NEPRA in connection with December fuel price adjustment.
NEPRA stated that the hearing on the CPPA application will be held on January 31.
It is pertinent to note that the approval of the application will burden the consumers with more than Rs49 billion.
