State Bank said that 139,898 Roshan Digital Accounts were opened in which 1.61 billion dollars were deposited during 2023.


Islamabad: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) stated that 16 million dollars were deposited in Roshan Digital Accounts in December 2023, and a total of $1.61 billion were deposited during the year.
According to the media report, the State Bank says that in December 2023, 10,182 Roshan Digital Accounts were opened while 160 million dollars were deposited in these accounts by the customers.
State Bank said that 139,898 Roshan Digital Accounts were opened in which 1.61 billion dollars were deposited during 2023.
According to the report, 651,057 Roshan Digital Accounts were opened from September 2020 to December 2023 and $7.19 billion were deposited during this time. By December 2023, $1.53 billion was repatriated from Roshan Digital Accounts.
The SBP added that 4.44 billion dollars were used at the local level till December 2023. The deposits outstanding at the end of December 2023 are $1.21 billion.
