Among the most polluted cities in the world, Lahore is the second and Karachi stands at fourth.


Karachi: The weather turned cold and pleasant with light and heavy rain in different areas of Karachi early in the morning.
The weather became colder due to drizzle in other areas including Guru Mandir, Garden, Lasbela, Ayesha Manzil, Azizabad, Gulshan Iqbal Korangi, Landhi, Malir and FB area of Karachi.
Gulistan Johar, Liaquatabad, Scheme 33, Gulshan Mimar, North Nazimabad and Manzoor Colony received heavy rain.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cold and dry in most of the districts of Sindh, while fog is likely to sustain in Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Kashmore and Padaidan.
On the other hand, different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab are also covered in fog, due to which many motorways have been closed.
Motorways-M1 from Peshawar to Islamabad, M2 from Balkasar to Islamabad, Motorways-M3 from Faizpur to Darkhana and M4 from Abdul Hakeem to Faisalabad are prohibited for traffic. Citizens have been directed by the authorities to avoid unnecessary travel.
