Rome: Italy has announced to treat 100 Palestinian children injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza.
The Italian Ministry of Defense said that an operation has been launched to transfer Palestinian children and their families to Italy. Initially, 30 Palestinian children will be airlifted in the next few days.
According to the Italian Ministry of Defense, another 30 children will be transferred to Italy by a military ship at the end of this month. The Italian ship New Vulcano will soon leave the Egyptian port to transfer the children.
It is also reported that the Palestinian children will be treated in hospitals in Rome, Bologna, Florence and Genoa.
Italy has said that apart from this, the army is in touch with regional countries for setting up a field hospital.
According to foreign media, seven Palestinian injured children have been brought to France for treatment yesterday (Wednesday).
Earlier in December, two wounded Palestinians were transferred to France.
