The latest reports show different trends of cement prices in various parts of the country.


Islamabad: The retail price of the cement remained stable in the country during the last week amid high-inflation.
Pakistan Bureau of Statistics data showed that the average retail price of cement per sack in the northern regions of the country was recorded at Rs1,227 in the week ending January 25, which is 0.41% less than the previous week.
In the continuous week, however, the average retail price of cement per sack in the country was recorded at Rs 1232.
The statistics showed the current trending prices of cement sacks at the moment when a layman cannot afford two-time meal amid sky-rocketing inflation.
Similarly, the average retail price of cement per bag in the southern regions of the country was recorded at Rs1150 which is the same as compared to the previous week.
According to the statistics, Islamabad last week recorded the average retail price per sack of cement at Rs1190, Rawalpindi Rs1192, Gujranwala Rs1260, Sialkot Rs1257, Lahore Rs1280, Faisalabad Rs1250, Sargodha Rs1223, Multan Rs1234, Bahawalpur Rs1250, Peshawar Rs1200, Bannu Rs1160, Karachi Rs1172, Hyderabad Rs1180, Sukkur Rs1250, Larkana Rs1173, Quetta Rs1200 and in Khuzdar the average retail price of cement per sack was recorded at Rs1150.
