Police launch investigation against ASI for allegedly slapping foreign cyclist
The latest reports say that the investigation started after an alleged scuffle took place between a police official and foreign cyclists.
Sadiqabad: The police on Monday started investigation against an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) over charges of slapping a foreign cyclist in Sadiqabad area of Rahim Yar Khan.
The Punjab police spokesperson said that the action would be taken against ASI Liaquat Ali after completion of the investigation into the matter involving the police official and the foreign cyclist.
According to the police spokesperson, three foreign cyclists entered the Rahim Yar Khan area from Sindh on Saturday and they were provided security as per the SOPs, but they were inflexible that they did not need security. However, a bitter verbal incident took place between the police official and the foreign cyclists.
The police said that two cyclists stayed at a private hotel in Sadiqabad while the third one left.
