The decision has been taken after complaints of fake currency notes in the country.

Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor Jameel Ahmed on Monday said that the new currency notes would be printed with the international security features.
Jameel Ahmed said that the notes would be introduced with the new serial numbers, design and high security features.
“The framework for the design of the new notes has started,” said the SBP governor while addressing a press conference related to the decision regarding policy rates in Karachi on Monday.
The development took place after the complaints of fake currency notes in different parts of the country.
He said that the design framework of the new notes would be completed by March. He also made it clear that they would not suddenly change currency notes in the style of India.
