Nomaika claimed that her husband fought with her over 'baseless allegations' and started torturing her, resulting in severe injuries to her left eye.

Karachi: Anchorperson of a private news channel Ashfaque Ishaq Satti was immediately suspended after allegations of domestic violence by his wife.
Ashfaque Ishaq Satti was accused by his second wife Nomaika Tahir Mehmood of aggravated assault and attempted murder.
The channel management took the decision after taking strict notice of these allegations. The decision to suspend came after a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged following the complaint of anchorperson's second wife Nomaika Tahir.
Nomaika turned to social media and shared a post saying that Ashfaque Satti picked her from her mother's house and brought her to his house and beat her. She was kept hungry and thirsty in the house for several days, subjected to severe torture but somehow she managed to escape from there and reached Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. After a medical check-up, she registered an FIR at Nazimabad police station.
According to Nomaika, this incident took place on January 22, but despite the case being registered, no action is being taken by the police due to her husband's influence.
She shared her own photos and showing bruising on her body and FIR copy on X account, which now has been deleted.
