Lahore: Police has arrested Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member Punjab Assembly (MPA) Mian Naveed Ali after dismissal of interim bail by Lahore High Court (LHC).

According to details, the court dismissed bail plea of PML-N leader in a case pertaining to allegedly torturing and kidnapping an Assistant Commissioner in Pakpattan.
During proceedings, the court was informed that the MPA was not cooperating in the investigation process.
A report by Additional IG Investigation was presented before Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry stating that the lawmaker didn’t turn up before the investigation officer.
Following the court’s verdict of dismissal of bail, Mian Naved Ali was arrested the moment he stepped out of the courtroom.
Last year in November, the police registered an FIR against Mian Naveed Ali and others for allegedly torturing and kidnapping Assistant Commissioner Khawar Bashir.
On the complaint of the AC, the case was registered under sections 365, 382, 506, 353 and 186 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The PML-N MPA manhandled the assistant commissioner after he raided a marquee on a complaint about violation and served Rs. 50,000 fine notice on its owner and collected the amount.
