Lahore: Senior politician and lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the convictions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) founder, Imran Khan should be suspended by the High Court.
According to the details, Aitzaz stated that the accused was not given the right to defend himself during the sentencing, the prosecution lawyers were appointed as the accused's counsel. The accused Imran Khan was punished without taking the statement of 342.
He said that the witnesses of the accused were not summoned in the cipher case, the statement of founder PTI in the cipher was not even signed by him. The punishment of founder PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be ridiculed, the accused are punished without giving a chance.
Senior lawyer Aitzaz remarked that the sentence will have a negative impact on the country's economy, appeals scheduled for hearing before February 8. He asked that Maryam Nawaz also took cars from Tosha Khana and sold them, no such case was made against her.
