Islamabad: The Official Secrets Act Court Thursday issued a detailed verdict in the cypher case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and vice-president Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
According to the details, the 77-page detailed judgment of the cypher case was issued by Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain.
In the detailed decision of the court, it was stated that the detailed decision of the cypher case consists of 20 findings including the importance of cypher, eyewitnesses and secret documents.
It has been said in the judgment that the founder PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi requested for a fair trial by improper procedure. The behaviour of both the criminals was taken into consideration before the trial court, both the criminals created self-inflicted problems. They tried to show themselves helpless to get sympathy.
According to the Official Secrets Act court, the findings stated that the right to a fair trial was not for the sly accused. They used cypher for their own benefit which had the effect of ministering against their oath as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and also harmed the relationship of Pakistan and United States.
It is pertinent to note that earlier on January 30, a special court in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi sentenced PTI founder Shah Mahmood Qureshi to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment in the cypher case.
