Washington DC: The US has signalled more attacks in the Middle East.
White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in a press briefing that the United States intends to carry out more attacks in the Middle East to target Iran-backed groups. ‘We are also thinking of more attacks and other actions in this regard’ he stated.
More attacks on Iran-backed groups in the Middle East are intended to send a clear message that the United States will respond when our forces are attacked and our people are killed, added Jake Sullivan.
Meanwhile, in response to a question, the US national security adviser avoided answering the question about the attack inside Iran, saying that the US military has been cautious in this regard.
It is pertinent to note that the United States has launched attacks in Iraq, Syria and Yemen in recent days, in which it has been claimed to target Iran-backed groups. While Britain, along with the United States, also attacked the Houthis in Yemen on Saturday night.
