Officer martyred, six injured in DI Khan blast near police vehicle
A blast took place near a police vehicle in Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
DI Khan: In an unfortunate incident, a police officer was martyred and six sustained the injuries in an explosion near a police vehicle in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to details, a blast took place near a police vehicle in Kulachi tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which one policeman was martyred and six were injured.
Earlier in Dera Ismail Khan, an officer was martyred in an attack on a security forces vehicle in Kot Azam, area of Tank. The vehicle of the security forces was providing security on election duty, during which the vehicle of the officials was targeted.
It is pertinent to note that in view of security concerns on the part of the government, mobile and internet services were shutdown across the country.
In its statement, the Ministry of Interior said that as a result of the recent incidents of terrorism, precious lives were lost. The security arrangements are essential to maintain peace and deal with possible threats.
It is pertinent to note that the polling process for the general elections 2024 is open across the country which will continue uninterrupted till 5:00pm. Voters will be able to cast their votes for their favorite candidates in the National and Provincial Assembly constituencies.
