Nawaz Sharif cast his vote in National Assembly Constituency NA-128 Model Town.
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has cast his vote for the general elections of Pakistan held today (Thursday).
The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif cast his vote in National Assembly Constituency NA-128 Model Town.
PML-N supremo stamped the election symbol 'Eagle' of Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP), due to seat adjustment of PML-N with IPP in NA-128.
The Muslim League-N has not fielded any of its candidates from this constituency, while IPP candidate Aun Chaudhry is the election candidate in NA-128.
Chief organizer of Muslim League-N Maryam Nawaz and leader of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Aun Chaudhry were also present on the occasion.
Nawaz Sharif while talking to the media after casting the vote in Lahore said that people should come out of their homes and cast their votes.
Sharif stated that one-party majority government is necessary in the country, we have reached here by making sacrifices.
He added: “The culture of misbehavior will have to end, inflation will end. People will lead a prosperous life, therefore cast votes to end the culture of abusive language and misbehavior”.
The former prime minister continued to say that there is no doubt in the struggle of Maryam Nawaz. She worked a lot for the party in bad times, they are seeing this day by making sacrifices. Maryam and Hamza Shehbaz have served jail terms.
Earlier PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif also cast his vote in NA-128 Lahore. Shehbaz and his wife also did not stamp at ‘lion’ as their vote is also registered in NA-128.
