US, China top trade negotiators hold first "candid, pragmatic" talks under Biden presidency
Washington: The officials of United States (US) and China have held first trade talks on Joe Biden Era.

According to details, the top trade negotiators of both sides have held "candid, pragmatic" talks, in their first meeting under the Biden presidency.
The US side was resented by Trade Representative Katherine Tai, while Chinese Vice Premier Liu spoke from Beijing’s side. The meeting was held virtually in view of ongoing coronavirus situation.
Both sides said they discussed the significance of the trade relationship between the two countries. The talks follow the Trump administration's combative stance towards China and resulting trade war.
The Office of the United States Trade Representative said that Ms Tai and Mr Liu "discussed the guiding principles of the Biden-Harris Administration's worker-centered trade policy and her ongoing review of the U.S.-China trade relationship, while also raising issues of concern."
Both sides said they had agreed to continue their negotiations.
During the former US President Donald Trump, both countries saw a bitter trade resulting in tariffs placed on a range of goods traded between the US and China.
