Karachi: Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid on Thursday met Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Thursday in CM House Karachi.

According to details, both sides discussed law and order situation in the province and Sheikh Rasheed offered help to Sindh in maintaining peace and stability.
The interior minister assured Sindh Chief Minister of full cooperation in ongoing operation against dacoits in Shikarpur.
Murad Ali told Sheikh Rasheed that Pakistan was ranked sixth in the list of dangerous countries, now it is at 126. He also welcomed the interior minister in the province saying that both sides need to work collectively.
“You are the home minister and you are welcome to visit Karachi anytime. We will work together,” said CM Sindh to which On which Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid replied that the law and order is the responsibility of Sindh government offered help to Sindh government.
“Interior Ministry will provide anything needed by the Sindh government. Rangers are present too. If needed, Sindh can take their services,” Sheikh Rasheed said adding that terrorism cases should be registered against dacoits.
Federal Secretary Interior Yousuf Naseem, DG Ali Nawaz, Legal Adviser, Chief Secretary Mumtaz Shah, IG Sindh Mushtaq Mehr also attended the meeting.
Earlier today, Director General Pakistan Rangers Sindh Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry called on Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed at Pakistan Rangers Sindh Headquarters in Karachi.
During the meeting, issues related to law and order in Sindh were deliberated upon.
Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed was briefed about the overall law and order situation in the province at Rangers Headquarters Karachi.
The interior minister while lauding the steps taken by Rangers to maintain law and order said that Karachi is the backbone of Pakistan's economy.
“The role of Sindh Rangers in maintaining law and order in Karachi is very commendable and further necessary steps will be taken to protect the lives and property of the people. Federal government will ensure the provision of necessary resources to law enforcement agencies,” he said.
