The ECP has further asked the report from Returning officer of Toba Take Singh and stopped the final results in this area.


Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has barred to issue final results of Punjab assembly’s three seats including PP-33 Gujrat, PP-126, PP-128 Jhang as well as Balochistan’s assembly two seats of PB-14 Naseer abad, PB-44 Quetta.
According to the details, ECP has heard the case related to election excuses. A bend consisted on member Sindh Nisar Durani and member Balochistan Shah Muhammad Jatoi has led the hearing.
Nisar Durani stated that the one who defeats blamed to have fraud with people’s mandate. How many times this behavior prolonged? Defeat and win are the part of a country’s democracy.
Special Secretary Election Commission said that Returning officers have issued final results in most of the constituencies. If we stopped the final results then the further process would be delayed.
Lawyer Babar Awan said that the election held on February 8 was quite fair. He said that he was not complaining about February 9 incident. ECP has already given strict punishment to Returning Officers in Dasca case.
Babar further stated that barred the final elections results would not be enough. The Returning officer who violated against his own he should be punished strictly.
Babar asked to repoll in NA-106 the constituency of Toba Take Singh. The ECP has further asked the report from Returning officer of Toba Take Singh and stopped the final results in this area.
