Islamabad: The hearing on the transfer appeal of Bushra Bibi, wife of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail will be held today (Tuesday).
According to the details, former PTI Chairman Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi's petition against transfer from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail has been fixed for hearing.
Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb will hear the application today.
The registrar office of the IHC has issued a cause list. It has been requested in the petition to annul the administration's notification of January 31 declaring Bani Gala as a sub-jail.
In the petition, Bushra Bibi's stand was taken that like other prisoners, she wants to serve the sentence in Adiala Jail, all citizens are equal in the eyes of the law, other political workers are with other prisoners in jails.
Bushra Bibi further stated in the petition that transfer to Bani Gala sub-jail is against equal rights. Earlier on January 31 from 10:00am to 9:00pm she was transferred to sub-jail after being made to wait in Adiala Jail. On enquiry, she was told that the Bani Gala residence was declared a sub-jail.
She pleaded with the court that the notification dated January 31 of Chief Commissioner Office Islamabad should be annulled.
