In the application, he has requested to declare the notification of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) of NA-47 null and void.


Islamabad: Shoaib Shaheen, candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from National Assembly Constituency NA-47, also approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Shoaib Shaheen has challenged the notification of victory of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Tariq Fazal Chaudhry from NA-47.
In the application, he has requested to declare the notification of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) of NA-47 null and void.
Earlier, the Election Commission had also sought a report on the alleged change of results in National Assembly Constituency NA-47 in Islamabad.
It is pertinent to note that according to the results of NA-47 ICT-II, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry of Muslim League-N was successful by getting 102,502 votes while independent candidate of Tehreek-e-Insaf Muhammad Shoaib Shaheen was second with 86,396 votes.
