The court has asked updated report within three weeks from police and others.


Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) has barred police to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh in further cases.
According to the details, a plea has been heard in SHC against the arrests of Haleem Adil in various cases.
The court has ordered not to nominate PTI’s candidate in any new case or challan. SHC has commanded to send the copy of court’s verdict to Inspector General (IG) Sindh and Jail Supervenient.
Court stated that according to the police report of November 2, 2023, Haleem nominated in 21 cases. The applicant’s father was barred to arrest without the permission of court earlier.
Justice Naimat Ullah asked that how many cases have been filed against Haleem? Additional Advocate General replied that 21 cases have been filed against him.
The applicant’s lawyer Anwar said that the court has already stopped to arrest Haleem in new cases 3 times. If a bail has been granted in one case then some other case comes up and Haleem got in.
He further said that Haleem has two cases in Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC). Haleem got bail in cases but now he has been arrested again.
