ECP chief commends Latif Khosa on success in elections
Khosa replied that he is grateful to Allah for winning with a huge majority despite all efforts to defeat him.
Sialkot: Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja Tuesday congratulated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sardar Latif Khosa on his victory in the elections 2024.
According to the details, Latif Khosa appeared before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the pretense case related to PP-47 Sialkot.
At the beginning of the hearing, the Chief Election Commissioner said: “Mr. Latif Khosa, congratulations on your success”. On which Khosa replied that he is grateful to Allah for winning with a huge majority despite all efforts to defeat him.
The Chief Election Commissioner stated that the final results of PP-47 Sialkot have been released. Latif Khosa said that their polling agents were kicked out during the counting of votes.
Sikandar Sultan Raja added that if the investigation proves to be a mistake, he will order a recount of the votes.
It is pertinent to note that the process of filing applications related to electoral excuses is going on in the Election Commission.
The Election Commission will hear a total of 59 petitions today for which two benches have been constituted.
Bench One consists of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and Member Commission Justice (Rtd) Ikramullah Khan is hearing on 31 petitions.
While, Bench Two is hearing 28 petitions, comprising Member Commission Nisar Durrani and Shah Mohammad Jatoi.
