LHC directs to consult RO against Nawaz’s victory
It should be noted that PML-N’s supremo got victory from NA-130 and Yasmin Rashid was a runner up.
Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has heard a plea against the victory of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in NA-130 constituency of Lahore in general elections.
According to the details, Justice Baqir Ali Najfi has heard the plea of the candidate Ishtiyaq Chaudhry who contested from NA-130 for National assembly’s seat.
The applicant stated that Nawaz Sharif got victory by alleged rigging in polls. He said that he was a candidate too but he got no vote from this constituency.
Court inquired that have you submitted your request to Returning officer (RO)?
Ishtiyaq said that court should consider his petition as a request. Therefore, Court directed the applicant to apply to RO.
