Bitter words between CJP, lawyer of abandoned endowment board
The court directed to issue all the details and pictures of the Gurdwaras and temples on the website.
Islamabad: Bitter words have been passed between Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa and the lawyer of abandoned endowment aboard in a case related to the rights of minorities.
According to the details, CJP has heard the case and asked that how many Gurdwaras are across the country?
Lawyer Ikram Chaudhry stated that this case is about six Gurdwaras and he has submitted the detail of total Gurdwaras across the country in previous hearings.
Qazi Faez inquired that why do you hide the facts? Why is the truth being barred from the nation?
Ikram asserted that he has submit all the facts about this case.
CJP directed to lawyer that have some respect towards the court on which Ikram replied that court should give him some respect as a lawyer.
Faez Isa instructed Ikram to leave the rostrum and remarked that the courtesy has just diminished.
Ikram claimed that he has been a lawyer for 35 years and said that you think that you only know about courtesy. He declared that he is a senior member of the bar so the court should treat him well.
Qazi Faez remarked that the court wanted to hear the chairman of abandoned endowment board not to the lawyer Ikram Chaudhry.
The chairman of abandoned endowment board told that the functional Gurdwaras are 19 across the country.
CJP questioned that why don’t you just upload the details and pictures of all Gurdwaras?
He also scolded the officials of abandoned endowment board that why are you people just nodding your heads?
Qazi Faez commented that the British era is over now don’t just nod and break the chains of Slavery.
The court directed to issue all the details and pictures of the Gurdwaras and temples on the website.
CJP further said that it is the property of minorities. All the lands have been snatched by the mafia that is why the facts are hiding.
