However, Sikandar Sultan has directed Nawaz’s lawyer to file the request again.
Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s plea on election excuse.
According to the details, the plea of Nawaz on election excuse in NA-15 the constituency of Mansehra has been heard in ECP chaired by Sikandar Sultan Raja. A bench consisted on two members heard the case.
Nawaz’s lawyer could not appear during the hearing whereas the Returning officer (RO) of Mansehra in NA-15 has submitted his report to Election Commission.
According to the RO’s response, the NA-15 result has been declared according to the Form-45. Nawaz’s lawyer came late into the ECP's office and pleaded not to reject the Nawaz’s application.
However, Sikandar Sultan has directed Nawaz’s lawyer to file the request again.
It should be noted that independent candidate Shehzad Ghustasib has won from NA-15 Mansehra.
